Even on a global scale a unique natural formation. First mentioned in 1818, it was created at the beginning of the 19th century by the flooding of the valley next to the alum quarry from 1558 to 1785. It has no tributary, the water level fluctuates minimally. Very acidic water (pH 3) contains increased amounts of sulfates, chlorides, and sometimes ammonia, which is why the Kamencova hut spa used to be next to the lake. Currently a recreation area.
